Welcome to the registration and information page for PlayLA, our premier adult ice hockey tournament and the largest fundraising event of our year. Every time you lace up your skates for PlayLA, you are directly investing in the future of our sport. 100% of the proceeds from this Labor Day weekend tournament go toward breaking down financial barriers for young girls in our community, allowing them to experience the joy, teamwork, and confidence that comes with playing ice hockey completely for free. By participating, you aren't just playing the game you love—you’re passing it on to the next generation of female athletes who might otherwise never have the chance to take the ice.

A Community That Rallies Together

Our hockey community has always been defined by its resilience and deep-rooted generosity. Last year, thanks to the incredible turnout and support at PlayLA, we were able to extend our impact far beyond the youth rinks. In the wake of the devastating wildfires that ravaged Southern California in early 2025, our tournament raised enough funds to donate $4,000 directly to local hockey families who tragically lost their homes. Time and again, this community proves that when one of our own is facing a crisis, we don't just stand on the sidelines—we rally, we show up, and we take care of each other.

This Year’s Mission: Skating for a Cause

This Labor Day weekend, we are skating with a renewed sense of purpose. For the 2026 tournament, we are dedicating our fundraising efforts to the brave members of our local hockey community who are currently battling cancer. The emotional, physical, and financial toll of a cancer diagnosis is immense, and we want our teammates, friends, and families to know they do not have to fight alone. Whether you are signing up as a player, sponsoring a team, or donating from the stands, your generosity this year will provide vital financial relief and unwavering solidarity to our hockey family members in their time of greatest need. If you know a player, coach, referee, or dedicated volunteer within our local hockey family who is currently facing a cancer diagnosis, we want to support them. We invite you to submit a nomination so that we can direct this year's tournament proceeds where they are needed most. Please take a moment to fill out the form below with their information and a brief description of their situation. Every submission will be reviewed with the utmost care and confidentiality as we work together to lift up our teammates during their toughest fight.
